This week marks an important milestone in the realization of our algae production facility in the Netherlands. Five trucks carrying over 30 kilometers of high-quality glass reactor tubes have safely arrived and carefully stored, thanks to the precise handling by S. van Holstein Transport.
The glass tubes, supplied by SCHOTT, form the core of our photobioreactor system. Known worldwide for their precision and durability, these tubes will enable a controlled and efficient cultivation process. Their arrival represents the transition from engineering and preparation to the next phase: physical construction and installation.
In close collaboration with Certhon, the tubes will be assembled into a modular, closed cultivation system inside a high-tech greenhouse environment. Within this system, light, CO₂, nutrients and water flows will be carefully regulated to create optimal growth conditions for microalgae. This controlled setup allows for consistent quality, high purity and reliable production performance.
The logistics operation required detailed planning and coordination. Transporting more than 30 kilometers of specialized glass tubing is not only a technical challenge, but also a testament to the strong partnerships supporting this project.
