Algae Biotech forms an innovation hub where new species of algae are studied, developed and implemented using efficient and sustainable production and processing methods. The training institute keeps people up to date on the latest developments in the algae industry. We believe our success is built on collaboration. That is why we maintain close ties to experts, innovators and universities who care as much about health and sustainability as we do. At our first project in Iceland, we have our own research and development lab where we conduct research on existing and new algae species.

More than a decade of research has resulted in an extensive and ever-growing database of invaluable knowledge for and about the algae industry. We believe a structural focus on R&D is required in order to realize our ambitions and be a forerunner in the algae industry. Our research pertains to various aspects, such as the properties of algae strains and the optimization of production and processing steps.
